We Need a Graduate Chair Candidate for the Student Advisory Committee for the 2024 – 2025 Academic Year.

Are you ready to take the leap and make a difference in your academic community? The School of Music invites you to step up and run for the position of Graduate Chair of the Student Advisory Committee!

Responsibilities

As Graduate Chair, you'll play a vital role in shaping the direction of our School and the College of Fine Arts. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing: 

• Service on the FAF Grants Committee: Help fund CFA student organizations' grant proposals, providing opportunities for experiential learning and growth. 
• Service on the College of Fine Arts Student Council: Represent the voice of music graduate students in broader discussions and decision-making processes.
• Service on the Retention, Promotion, and Tenure Student Advisory Committee: Assist in evaluating teaching achievements.
• Membership on the Full Academic Appeals Committee: As appointed by the chair of the Academic Appeals Committee you may represent the School of Music in a panel for an academic appeal.
• Act as a Liaison between College, Department, and Students: Bridge the gap and ensure effective communication and collaboration between all groups.
• Serve on the Committee for Selection of the College of Fine Arts Convocation Speaker: Help choose distinguished speakers to inspire and motivate our graduating classes.
