Call for Student Advisory Committee (SAC) Elections Nominations

Dear School of Music Faculty,

As we approach the end of another academic year, the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) elections for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic school year are approaching.

SAC plays a vital role in fostering communication and collaboration among students, faculty, staff, and administrators within our School of Music community.
SAC is committed to promoting involvement opportunities, encouraging participation in departmental activities, and working together to strengthen our campus community. This committee serves as a platform for students to voice their ideas, concerns, and suggestions, ultimately shaping the direction and culture of our School of Music.

We are reaching out to faculty members in the School of Music so you may encourage any students whom you believe would contribute positively to the School of Music through their service on the committee to consider running for elected positions or applying for membership.

Available elected leadership positions for the 2024-2025 academic year include:

  1. Undergraduate Chair
  2. Graduate Chair
  3. FAF Grants Representative

Students interested in running for elected positions should fill out the filing form by April 5th, 2024, at 5:00 pm

However, we encourage continuous support and engagement by promoting the completion of the membership application, which does not have a specific deadline. Students can also apply for SAC departmental offices from within the membership application. Departmental offices are appointed by elected SAC leaders.

By serving on SAC, students have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the School of Music community and develop leadership skills.

Please share this opportunity with your students and encourage those who possess the passion and dedication to serve their peers to apply and make a difference in the School of Music.
